The Science Behind Energy Flow

In Science, Team Couloir students have been exploring how food and fuel provide energy, how organisms obtain and use energy they need to live and grow and how organisms interact with living and non-living environments to obtain energy. One of the key concepts that students were able to develop through our 'corn anchor task' was that plants acquire their materials for growth primarily from air and water.


 Our 'Ghost Corn' which students wanted to explore growing without light.

Students have now moved onto exploring 'what happens to dead things over time?' and how matter moves through an ecosystem.
