Geology Trip to Lessor's Quarry

'We had a chilly but great trip to Lessor's Quarry today. The experience was perfect for connecting all of our in-class learning to the real-world setting at Lessor's. Thank you to Professor Les Kanat for leading us, and to our chaperones Hannah Deene, Carol Sullivan and Rich Magnuson for supporting.
Be sure to ask your child:
What is the geologic history of Lessor's Quarry?

Rock of Ages

OWe had a great day visiting a Vermont landmark, Rock of Ages. Students had a guided tour of the quarry and then saw a video of the history of Rock of Ages, toured the factory and then students were able to take a rock from the scrap pile. Thank you David Butler, Carol Sullivan, Daphne Tanis,
Pam Clark, Ray Chamberland for helping us today!
