Rock of Ages

OWe had a great day visiting a Vermont landmark, Rock of Ages. Students had a guided tour of the quarry and then saw a video of the history of Rock of Ages, toured the factory and then students were able to take a rock from the scrap pile. Thank you David Butler, Carol Sullivan, Daphne Tanis,
Pam Clark, Ray Chamberland for helping us today!

Hike to Cantilever Rock

We had a beautiful morning to hike to Cantilever Rock on Mt. Mansfield. Thank you to the chaperones; Kelley Newell, Terry Johanson, Luke Roberge, Rich Magnuson, Carol Sullivan, Mr. Martin and Megan Meadows! The hike is a great way for students to make sense of the learning from science class and to experience some local geology!

First day back!

It was a treat to see all of our returning Couloir students today and to welcome two new members. We hope you will all subscribe to  our blog this year. A few pictures from a fun STEM challenge today where students were asked to build a pyramid with six cups without using their hands. Be sure to ask them about it and about their new schedule.
