In Science this week, Team Couloir students were experimenting with acids and observing reactions of known and unknown substances.

Learn Storm Teamwork

For the past month, students have been working on 'mindset activities' and 'assignments' on Khan Academy as part of Learn Storm. Students were highly motivated to work through the levels and achieve 100% together. We wrapped up Learn Storm on Wednesday but students will continue to access Khan at various points throughout the year and independently.

Apple Cider and Fall Mandalas

This past friday afternoon, Team Couloir enjoyed a cider squeeze and some mindful coloring of Fall mandalas. Thank you to Mr. Cole for the cider press and to the many families (and Chapin Orchards) who donated apples.

Prime Climb

This week we introduced the game Prime Climb to students. It is a fantastic game we highly recommend for the whole family.

The Dot-BreakoutEdu

Today students worked together on a BreakoutEdu centered around the book The Dot by Peter Reynolds. Be sure to ask your child about the Breakout and the group process for solving the clues.

Shelburne Museum- Life in early Vermont

We had another gorgeous day for a field trip. Thank you Lupe Sears, Megan Cole, Gina Zabilansky, Kim Rubin, Kathleen Brinegar for chaperoning. Students made candles, ice cream, played with toys that were over 100 years old and visited a schoolhouse that was once in Vergennes.
