Starbase Day 4- Rocket Launch
This past Tuesday students completed Day 4 of Starbase. The highlight of the day was Rocket Launch. Thanks to those of you who came out to watch. It was very entertaining to say the least.
Team T-Shirts
We had a great day today. We began with t-shirt making and followed with multiple rounds of hide and seek at Mills River before returning for a team lunch and a 'dessert potluck'! It was all a wonderful way to honor the efforts of our students during the first trimester.

Flying Kites
We finally flew our kites yesterday! The kites were built after we read the book 'All of the Above' last spring. The kites' structure is similar to the structure referred to in the book. This was a class read.

Starbase Day 2
With school being cancelled on Tuesday, the decision was made to bring the whole team together on Day 2. The curriculum of Day 2 included lessons on the atmosphere and properties of air, collecting data with 'pop goes the fizz', more CAD design and a historical flight simulator over Washington D.C. where students had to find various monuments.
